Over 20 Audio Interfaces for the Atari Falcon 030
AMN has painstakingly attempted to document all the known audio breakout boxes for the Atari Falcon 030. Here is the current list as of Jan 1, 2010. To avoid errors and further enhance this list, community input is appreciated!
- Line Audio Design Jam 8 & Jam 2
- Line Audio Design Jam OUT 8
- Line Audio Design Jam IN 8 & Jam IN 2
- Line Audio Design Jam IN 8 & Jam IN 2 (second generation)
- Line Audio Design Jam 8 Pro
- Line Audio Design FAD
- Line Audio Design Jam Clock
- SoundPool Falcon Analog 8 & Analog 4 (FA8, FA4)
- SoundPool SPDIF
- SoundPool Sample Rate Converter (SRC)
- SoundPool Sync-Box - MTC /SMPTE Converter
- SoundPool Sync-Box Pro - Professional SMPTE/MTC Synchronizer
- SoundPool ADAT Interface
- SoundPool DIGI Switchboard: a 2-way patchbay for digital audio signals housed in a 1U 19" rack. It features a switchable matrix for SPDIF signals with four inputs that can be independently routed to two outputs. An additional insert can be used to insert a SRC or as a fifth input. The outputs feature optical and coaxial connectors. For two inputs, additional optical connectors are provided. The selected digital audio routing is displayed with LEDs.
- Steinberg FA8: eight unbalanced RCA audio outputs
- Steinberg FDI: providing optical and coaxial digital I/O for recording to/from a DAT or CD recorder. It also replaces the Falcon's internal clock to 44.1kHz and bypasses the Falcon's audio system for direct to disk recording by allowing the use of outboard AD/DA converters. Some older models can only sync to 20-bit while newer ones are said to accept 24-bit signals. You must install FDI_INIT.PRG in the AUTO folder for use with Cubase Audio, WaveMaster, CDRecorder 2 and Zero-X. However, you do not need this driver for AudioMaster, AudioTracker and DataDat.
- Sunrise Electronics SE600 /Sunrise Audio Systems SA600: an 8 channel audio output expander that fully emulates the Steinberg FA8 or SoundPool Analog 8, but offers 64x oversampling delta sigma D/A conversion, giving 15Hz to 22KHz audio bandwidth on all eight channels. This unit also boasts 8-LED level meters and 8-input level controls. There are two models available - one with standard 1/4 jacks, the other with balanced XLRs.
- Sunrise Electronics SE800 / Sunrise Audio Systems SA800: The SE800 / SA800 is exactly the same as the SE600 / SA600 with an additional 8 analog inputs! There are also two modles available with standard 1/4 jacks or balanced XLRs.
- Sunrise Audio Workstation:
